Bicentennial, Baby!

Downtown Greensboro was full of artistic endeavors this weekend. Despite some early inclement weather and a lack of knowledge of the event by many Greensborians, the Heritage Festival rolled on throughout the weekend with everything from 19th century baseball to banjo playing in the street. Kettle corn was in abundance as was great music by tons of local bands from early in the morning to the very wee hours of the next.

Hawkeye and the Victrola

I took this very quickly (obviously) during the weekend we made a film for the 48 Hour Film Festival in Greensboro. Our friend has a beautiful old Victrola (as well as a lovely dog named Hawkeye) that we used for a scene we shot in the late afternoon as the sunlight poured into their beautiful blue room. I was actually the Script Supervisor on the film so I could only take very quick shots in between takes in an attempt to document the weekend. It was a long, hot 48 hours but lots of fun and a movie to boot!
