A Lovely Fall

Leaves

by Elsie N. Brady

How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.

At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow.

Walkabout

Oh November days in North Carolina... Just walking around the neighborhood brings out many a pretty sight. As well as handsome young men who wait around quietly to have their photos taken. The knife, I believe, was leftover from Halloween. At least I think it was.

Best of Break?

Not really sure this is the best photo I took during the internship/break period, but I'm pretty sure I've already posted any of the "best" possibilities. I do like this pumpkin shot even though I may have beat the pumpkin subject to death this fall. This was shot on my porch with natural light on a November afternoon during which I was attempting to shoot as much as possible while everyone else was on internship.

Backyard Distortion

This was shot from my kitchen window the day after Thanksgiving. Some clean wine glasses sitting on the table in front of the window assisted.
