Reptiles and Reenactors: January Beach Trip, Part 1

January was full of surprises. The fact that I set foot in the Cape Fear Serpentarium in Wilmington, NC is one of them. Please forgive the snake photo, but it's a big breakthrough kind of moment for me. (Not a fan of snakes. Not at all.) A much more lovely surprise was when the little boy in the above photos tipped his hat to me at the end of the Fort Fisher Civil War Reenactment. 2010 seems like it's off to a good start. Buckets of Rain

It rained a lot here in Greensboro early this summer. I kind of loved it.

Beardtoberfest 2008

Last night the Beard and Moustache Club of NC celebrated in style in downtown Greensboro. Cheap beer, good music and a big crowd of facial hair lovers made the night a rousing success.
